Is there any way to get into the Quhu Immortals Cave now with the locked door?
Can you climb up around it and inside or something?
Who do you call to get the door unlocked?
I need to explore this cave!
Thanks for any advice you might have on getting inside there now.

Actually yes! Unless the lock has been changed, or it’s been bolted or padlocked since, it’s easy to get the hand through the grill in the gate and pull the latch on the other side. We went in and had a quick look, but it seems like the vertical bit is around to the left – we looked carefully in but didn’t dare go in without a powerful flashlight! Take care if you do go, and let us know if what others told us about it being really
    deep are true!

I went there this last weekend.
Hmmm, maybe it’s a different aluminum door now (although it looks the same as your photo) because the spaces in the grill were not big enough to get my hand through. No one else in my group could either.
(But then we went on to explore a nearby abandoned tunnel system filled with bats. If you want more info on that, let me know.)
If you have more specific details on how to open it, I would appreciate it.
I also talked to a couple of neighbors and they suggested that I talk to the person who lives in the house that is just in front of the cave. I knocked on the doors there but no one answered.
I might be back in the area in a couple of weeks, so any specific help on how to get past that metal door would be great.

Sorry to hear that! I wonder how we did it (it was a few years ago now) – maybe a piece of wire or something; there was just a latch or something on, it wasn’t locked. Good advice about asking the person in the house in front – we got talking to a local working a plot of land beside the road at the start of the path up to the cave, and it was him that told us how he’d tried exploring the cave and stopped when he ‘ran out of rope’! Glad you found some
tunnels nearby – I don’t know those. Where are they approximately?

The entrance to the tunnels is just off the same road (north 50) that goes up to the Quhu Immortals Cave, but before XiLong Temple. If you’re going uphill, it’s on the left, one or two stretches before the graves on the left. It’s real easy to miss, but it is right next to the road. I’ve started mapping out the tunnels. Bring headlamps and don’t go if you’re afraid of bats.

Thanks for the directions – sounds very interesting! Hope you get into Quhu next time.

No problem. If you or anyone else has any ideas or info about getting inside the cave, please let me know!
